You’ve seen the evidence: the mattress industry is changing. Conferring with “Sleep Doctor” Michael J. Breus, the team adopted four principles to a healthy mattress: balanced pressure, spinal support, temperature moderation and limited motion.

Non-Toxic and Natural

We wouldn’t choose to feature a bed on Citrus Sleep if it weren’t non-toxic and eco-friendly. We checked to be sure this was true of the Luma Sleep line, and weren’t disappointed. First, we’d like to point out that the materials used in Luma Sleep product are made in the USA. While this doesn’t necessarily preclude toxins in a mattress, the Made in the USA stamp is a good indicator of other conditions, like fair trade and eco-friendly practices. In fact, Luma Sleep is a fair trade company and each manufacturing site employs eco-friendly and sustainable practices.

Luma Sleep has created a line of bedding products that are free from toxins like formaldehyde and heavy metals that are unsafe for your family and for the planet. They’ve taken sustainability a step up, too, and have incorporated certified American steel as well as all natural materials.

Your Luma Sleep bed will be made of Talalay latex, Dunlop latex or both. The wrapped springs are crafted, in part, from recycled steel. Tencel fabric covers are made from wood, and are sustainable and super soft to the touch. Tencel is breathable, feeling just like a soft, washed cotton.

Every foam used to create your Luma Sleep mattress is CertiPUR-US Certified, meaning it’s safe for even the little ones in your home. Beds get the OEKO-TEX Confidence in Textiles stamp of approval, as well as the eco initiative seal for sustainability and responsibility in manufacturing.

The Luma Mattress is the most “basic” of Luma Sleeps beds, but it’s anything but ordinary. The Luma is a hybrid, which includes 8 inches of individually wrapped coils and 2 inches of natural latex. As with all Luma Sleep mattresses, the coils contain recycled American steel and the foam is certified to be safe and sustainably sourced. The Luma Mattress is wrapped by a Tencel cover, which is breathable, lightweight and incredibly soft. Each mattress is made in the USA, in California, and is fair trade. With every Luma Sleep bed, you’ll get a few perks. The Luma Mattress features a 100 night sleep trial, which the company stands behind. After all, the business was launched on the idea that consumers should be able to shop online and have options. If the Luma Mattress isn’t for you, they’ll schedule pickup and donation of the bed, and will refund you 100% of your purchase price.

The Natural Latex Hybrid Mattress is the second option available from Luma Sleep. If you prefer an all-latex model with no innerspring coils, the All Latex Slumber System Mattress is your best bet. With this mattress, you’re covered by the Comfort Exchange. 100 Night Trial

We understand that some of you may be reluctant to buy a new mattress, sight unseen. After all: a mattress is an investment. It’s a n investment in your health, your well-being and it’s where you spend a third of your life! The founders of Luma Sleep have you covered. Every mattress bought through Luma Sleep is eligible for a 100 night, in-home trial. If you’re not convinced that the mattress is right for you, simply call the Customer Advocates. In some cases, you may be eligible for a free Comfort Exchange. If you decide that your Luma Sleep solution isn’t what your body needs, the company will refund you.

When you request a refund, Luma Sleep will schedule a time that works for you to remove the mattress from your home. Once removed, the mattress will, in most cases, be donated to a deserving non-profit or shelter. If the mattress is worn, it will be responsibly recycled. You will be refunded 100% of your money, minus any White Glove delivery or mattress removal charges.

Comfort Exchange

The Comfort Exchange is just one more way the Luma Sleep Customer Advocates have committed to your satisfaction. For the first full year of your mattress ownership, you have the option to let Luma Sleep know that you’d prefer a different firmness of bed. Most Luma Sleep mattresses are created using a dual layer process. In fact, all but the Luma Mattress are crafted this way, which means it’s easy to find your ideal comfort level without actually returning the bed.

If you have, for instance, ordered a firm mattress but feel you’d prefer a plush, just call the Customer Advocate team. Luna Sleep will send you a replacement layer, free of charge within the first year you’ve owned the bed. They’ll also furnish you with a pre-paid shipping label and a box that’s sized appropriately to your mattress. Just send back your unused layer and enjoy your new firmness level. Customers who have initiated a Comfort Exchange say the process is simple, straightforward and that the customer service team was quite accommodating. Please note: you’ll need to have your original order number to take advantage of the Comfort Exchange, so keep it with your other important files.

Luma Sleep Mattress Review, Ratings and Feedback

We’ve told you what we think of the Luma Sleep mattresses and bedding products. However, what do other consumers have to say about it? First of all, customers were very impressed with the customer service offered by Luma Sleep Advocates.
